The Combined Teaching of Daniela Arevalo and Joshua Bamberg

Josh was born and raised here in Spring, Texas. He began learning the violin at the age of 5 in a Suzuki program in Aldine ISD. He performed at the Texas Capitol building at age 10 with a violin ensemble from his school. He would also go onto perform with the Klein High School Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in 2007, and as part of the TMEA Honor Full Orchestra in 2008.
Josh would also begin learning the guitar at age 14, and would go on to start a band, and come in 2nd place in a battle of the bands, opening the 2nd act of the 2008 Klein Variety Show with his original instrumental composition, "The Return."
Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Sam Houston State University, where Josh was a member of the SHSU Symphony orchestra, the award winning SHSU Jazz Ensemble, as well as the violin and classical guitar studios.
As a performer, Josh has performed at Beyoncé's studio in Houston, Bentwater Yacht Club, Tony Mendola's, Crazy Frog's, BFE Rock Club, and Multiple Weddings and Funerals. Josh and his wife, Daniela, perform multiple times per year as a duo, and with the Conroe Symphony Orchestra. Josh has performed in multiple masterclasses including for guitarists Hopkinson Smith, Pavel Steidl, Jonathan Dotson, Kupinski Guitar Duo, Irina Kulikova, Grisha Goryachev, Frédérique Luzy, Pierre Bibault, and Violinist Franziska Pietsch.
Mr. Bamberg takes the most pride and has found the most success in his teaching career, which began in 2011. Since then, he has had many students make All-Region Orchestra, as well as Houston Youth Symphony. The proudest moment of Mr. Bamberg's teaching career was when he watched his student walk across the stage, not only once, but two consecutive years as Region IX HS Symphony Concertmaster, two consecutive years as AFA Symphony Concertmaster, and three consecutive years of making TMEA All-State Orchestra, including a principal position.

Mr. Bamberg has two students who broke every record in the 45 year history of their school's orchestra program at Klein Forest High School, where they created a new Orchestra Hall of Fame in their honor. Mr. Bamberg's two students qualified for All-State Orchestra and State UIL more than any previous students in the school's history.
In 2021, Mr. Bamberg's Student, Lauren Garcia, received the State UIL Outstanding Performer Medal, which is given to less than 2% of performers, for performing the first movement of Beethoven Violin Concerto. She would also go onto earn "Runner-up" in the 2023 AFA Concerto Competition. She would then go onto earn a full-ride scholarship to Baylor university for Violin Performance.
Mr. Bamberg has had Multiple Students earn Music Scholarships including Baylor and Belmont University.
Josh and his wife Daniela have both conducted and directed the Huntsville Youth Symphony, and Conroe Youth Symphony.
Mr. Bamberg has also completed Suzuki training from books 1-8, and is an active member of the Suzuki community.
